Sacred Heart Alumna Janet Gray-Donald Macklem Receives Diamond Jubilee Medal

While attending the CASHA Conference in Montreal on October 28, 2011,  I briefly met Janet Gray-Donald Macklem and snapped the above photo.  Janet was celebrating her 55th Reunion with fellow classmates from City House (Montreal) in 2011.  On February 23rd of this year, Janet received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her community work in Westmount.  Congratulations Janet!  To read more about Janet and her long ties to Sacred Heart in Montreal - click here.

I've just added the Society of the Sacred Heart at the UN website to my blog under Sacred Heart Sites (right hand column).

On Friday, October 28^th, I will attend the CASHA conference being hosted at the Sacred Heart School of Montreal.  The school is celebrating their 150^th Anniversary. Sr. Cecil Meijer, RSCJ is the NGO representative of the Society of the Sacred Heart at the United Nations and is a scheduled guest speaker during the conference, her topic “Listening to the Concerns of Others in the world” --
