Sending my very best wishes to all alumnae/i for a Happy Feast of the Sacred Hearttoday! I am especially thinking of and praying for the RSCJ all over the world who renew their vows on this special day. Below is a beautiful prayer found in a small book entitled Special Devotions Compiled for the Children of the Sacred Heart.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I come to Thee because Thou art my only refuge, my only but certain hope.Thou art the comfort for all my sufferings, the remedy for all my miseries, the reparation for all my losses, the expiation for all my faults, the supplement for all that is wanting to me, the certainty for all my demands, the infallible source, for me and for all, of light, strength, benediction, constancy and peace.I am sure that Thou wilt not weary of me, that Thou wilt not cease to love me, to aid and protect me, because Thou lovest me with an infinite love.Have mercy on me, then, according to Thy great mercy, and do with me, and in me, whatsoever Thou wilt.I abandon myself to Thee, with full confidence that Thou wilt never abandon me.Amen

The following #TBT blog post is written in memory of Reverend E. Corbett Walsh, SJ who was called home to be with God on September 24, 2015. Father Walsh, SJ is survived by the following siblings: Bonnie Stoloski, NC'59; Robert B., Thomas F., Inez Moore, Quentin I., and Toni Curry, NW'68. For many years Sacred Heart alums either met or interacted with Fr. Walsh, SJ as he was often asked to celebrate Mass and/or speak to alums at various Sacred Heart gatherings at the request of his sister Toni Walsh Curry, AASH past President (1981-1983).
On September 22, 2012, Father Walsh, SJ was invited to be a guest speaker at the Associated Alumnae/i of the Sacred Heart(AASH) Eastern Regional Conference hosted at The Wianno Club, Osterville, MA. Rev. E. Corbett Walsh, SJ gave a talk entitled: "Hello Martha, Hello Mary". Father Walsh tells those in the audience (Sacred Heart alums) of his partiality to the Gospel according to Luke. He also tells us how his youngest sister "Anthony" aka Toni Curry, AASH past President (1981-1983) came to be named. Toni is the current President of the Cape Cod & Islands Alumnae/i of the Sacred Heart Association and she was Co-Chair of the 40th Biennial AASH Conference hosted in Boston, April 9 - 12, 2015. Those who watch this video (twenty-five minute portion of his talk) will find Fr. Walsh an engaging, very charming, intelligent priest whose stories are both endearing and heartwarming, sprinkled with his wonderful sense of humor. During his talk Fr. Walsh mentions that when you read Luke you often think of Father Faber (see quote below) and some of his poems.
Rev. E. Corbett Walsh, SJ you will be sorely missed by your extended Sacred Heart family...may you rest in eternal peace.

Today is "Giving Tuesday" and I have prepared a list of Sacred Heart organizations to send a donation in honor or memory of a loved one. As they say, it is better to give than to receive. Wishing all a very blessed Advent season!
AASH is a
not-for-profit alumnae and alumni organization of all graduates of the schools
and colleges directly associated with the Religious of the Sacred Heart in the
United States and parts of Canada. The purpose of AASH is to foster a spirit of
unity among alumnae and alumni and their associations throughout the US and the
world.
The Barat Education Foundation, an independent
501(c)(3) organization, was established in 2000 prior to the sale of Barat
College to DePaul University. At that time, the Foundation was charged
with the development and support of innovative educational programs and
services that reflected the values and educational tradition of Barat College.
When DePaul University closed Barat College in June
2005, the Board of Directors voted to perpetuate and build upon the Barat
legacy of education, leadership and advocacy.
Today, the Barat Education Foundation is committed to
continuing and adapting the heritage and legacy of Barat College to our
21st-century world.

As heirs of the legacy and educational tradition of
Barat College and its Foundresses, the Religious of the Sacred Heart, the Barat
Education Foundation develops and seeks support for innovative scholarships and
entrepreneurial educational ventures which reflect the deep commitment to:

MISSION STATEMENT - The purpose of The International Hildreth Meière
Association, Inc is to conduct activities to promote and perpetuate the legacy
of Hildreth Meière, a distinguished mural painter and designer whose
achievements gained the recognition of the established art world during the
first half of the last century.

The Society of the Sacred Heart
continues its mission each day: to discover and make known the love of the
Heart of Christ in the world. We do this through our commitment to prayer
and contemplation, serving in the Network of Sacred Heart Schools, in colleges,
universities, and other educational institutions, in spiritual ministry
centers, parishes, hospitals and in direct service to those most in need. We
care for our elderly sisters and are involved in the ministry of justice and
peace.
For the Society of the Sacred Heart,
mission advancement is about fidelity to relationships, expanding and being
faithful to the larger family of the Sacred Heart – associates, alumnae/i,
Network colleagues, families, benefactors, friends, ministry collaborators and
Religious of the Sacred Heart so that the love of the Heart of Christ will be
better known and our world will become a more loving place. Mission advancement
seeks to increase our resources and direct them to the present and future
mission of the Society and the care of our eldest members.

Sprout Creek Farm is a working farm, an
educational center, a retail market, a peaceful sanctuary, a summer camp, a
place for intellectual inquiry... Sprout Creek Farm is all these things.
Encompassing
200 acres in Dutchess County, NY, Sprout Creek Farm is really three different
entities, distinct yet dynamically entertwined. It is a working farm, raising
free-ranging cows, sheep, goats, wild turkeys, guinea fowl, chickens, and pigs.
It is a market, selling our internationally award-winning cheeses and
farm-produced meats, as well as local Hudson Valley milk, eggs, vegetables,
crafts, and gifts. And it is an educational center, offering day, weekend, and
summer programs that help connect young people to the land, the seasons, and
the plants and animals that co-exist here in harmonious rhythm. Sprout
